The Partners in Recovery initiative aims to better support people living with severe and persistent mental illness by providing a more coordinated system response to their mental health needs.

If you would like to learn more about the PIR initiative, please visit the About PIR section of this website or go to the Department of Health website.

Are you someone who is living with a severe and persistent mental illness?

If you are someone who is living with a severe and persistent mental illness, or if you are caring for someone who is, please contact the PIR organisation in your region using the PIR locator map below.

PIR is different in every region, so by contacting the PIR organisation in your local area, you will be getting the best advice possible about how PIR may be able to support you and your family.

Do you already use PIR or do you know someone who does?

If you are a PIR client, or a friend or family member of someone who uses PIR, you are invited to have your say on the PIR initiative via the Urbis client and carer forum.

The national evaluators of the PIR initiative, Urbis Pty Ltd, are running the forum to help determine the extent to which PIR has improved the coordination and integration of services. Urbis has produced a flyer on the client and carer forum which contains more information.

Urbis is interested to hear about all personal experiences of PIR and all feedback received will be treated confidentially.

Are you a PIR staff member?

PIR staff should log in to the capacity building web portal for access to important resources to help them implement the PIR initiative in their region.
